Can I use my NDIS funding?
Yes you can use your funding to cover individual support related to health and fitness but how you go about accessing it depends upon what style of plan you have.
Self managed: If you are self managed it’s easy! All you need is an invoice from me. Then, in your NDIS portal under payment requests, you just add the date of the session(s) and how much it was.
Plan Managed: If you are plan managed it is ultimately up to your provider, however generally I have not had any problems with clients claiming sessions through their providers. I would usually invoice the providers directly.
In co-ordination with your planner, I will create an exercise program tailored to your specific needs. Our goal being to increase your movement capabilities by increasing strength and mobility in the muscles which may have been affected by your disability.
For both of the above plan options, I am able to provide a letter of what exactly we do and how it aligns with your goals in your NDIS plan, this usually clears up any misunderstandings on the providers side of things. I can also provide periodic reports of your progress, if this is what your plan requires.
